I am a Banshee. A Phoenix. I am one who continually dies & lives to sing about it.
My life’s mission is to be a cathartic conduit, usually in a song with a message, and sometimes with a bit of humor… I have a lot of stories to tell about my experiences with Death, and I believe it is not something to be feared, but embraced. (It’s not like you can really get away from it, after all…) It seems to me that people are waking up to the fact that we need to have a healthier relationship to Death, & I am relieved to see this change happening in our society. Death is just another word for change. Every time we experience change we experience death & re-birth. Nothing ever stays the same. All energy is recycled, so in that way there really is no such thing as “Death.” And for that I am very glad.
I am dedicated to share my on-going process of finding creative outlets for self-revelation and healing with others who are having similar experiences.
This blog will include my Songs. Dreamwork / Wakingwork. Photos. Paintings. Stories. Lyrics. Eventually this body of work will bring me one step closer to an autobiography about embracing the phoenix path in life, including a side-by-side view of the Dreamwork I have used with my Wakingwork since 1995.
One day, I hope to manifest the vision of “The Phoenix House,” an opportunity for grieving parents to live out in the country for a while, where the healing happens nature-ally. Here people can learn about how to heal themselves with yoga, healthy food, Dreamwork, journaling, meditation, art, music, massage, working with plants, crying, laughing, talking, and walking outdoors.
